Summer is nearly upon us and flowers are showing their colors! Come out and join us and get some great exercise. Meet with the volunteers who keep the Nature Center the beautiful place you love to visit! We will meet at 8:30am in the parking lot in Miller Springs Park at the south end of the dam. Access is via the Miller Springs Park entrance just off of Lake Road (Hwy 439). We will meet in the parking lot just above the restrooms.

We will be taking several vehicles to the work site on the trail just above the Beaver Ponds. The primary goal is to begin working on the Hidden Springs Trail by removing the many invasive plants growing alongside the trail and other related tasks. Work will continue until noon but you may leave early if necessary. So you are welcome to come by and spend an hour or more with us and help the Nature Center.

If you have them please bring

  • Loppers
  • clippers
  • trimming saw
  • work gloves
  • water

and be sure to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. Otherwise tools will be provided.

The Miller Springs Nature Center is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers like you.
